HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN
The Washington County / Johnson City Emergency Management Agency (EMA) has developed a new Mitigation Plan for all of Washington County, Tennessee. A draft document has been prepared and the EMA appreciated your input. The goal of the Mitigation plan was to identify hazards faced by Washington County, solutions to reduce or eliminate the impacts of these hazards, and finally a method to implementation these strategies to implements these mitigation efforts. These efforts range from educational programs to possible property relocation projects.
The Washington County / Johnson City EMA is the lead agency for developing the Mitigation plan, however, the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) workS with the EMA to coordinate public input. Thanks again for your input to the plan.
